Take field notes with
your iPhone®
With the Natalog Notes module that is shipped with Natalog*, note your observations while on the spot: species, quantity, comment, atlas code... and synchronise them automatically with those you already have noted in Natalog.

Share your logs with friends
You have surveyed with friends... One of you is going to write the log, and to transmit it to other observers.
You will only have to import it to retrieve the observations you made together!

Manipulate your observations
with a spreadsheet
With the
new "raw spreadsheet" export format, you can save a file with all
the log and observation information (TSN number included for added
compatibility) in a form usable in a spreadsheet program. You can
then benefit from the functions such a software provides.
Hover to pause text
Choose species and spots even faster
To save even
more time when writing a log or when doing searches, choose species and spots in the recently observed species list or in the recently surveyed spots list. Or choose one of the spots you have defined as "favorites".
Hover to pause text
Protect your sensible observations
Lock observations you wish to have a restricted diffusion
to indicate to your correspondants that they must remain confidential.
You can also choose not to export these observations.
Hover to pause text
Geotag your observations
Through Natalog web site, position
a pin on a map or a satellite view to get latitude and longitude of what you observed and paste them directly in Natalog.

Note quickly breeding activity and
status from Atlas codes
Natalog
2 uses the EOAC (European Ornithological Atlas Committee) nomenclature
to help you choose a code in a list where the meaning of the code
is clearly presented. Natalog 2 will then
fill in the breeding status, and, if it is possible, the matching
breeding activity.

Delete a whole log in one
operation
If you have
made tests, or if you have made too many errors in a log, it is now possible
to delete the log, even if it contains observations. They will also be deleted,
and statistics will be updated automatically.
Hover to pause text
Activate observations in
log faster
If
you are on the details of an observation, you can switch
quickly to another observation by clicking on the check in the spot
species list. Write down comments is
further facilitated.
Hover to pause text
Be informed of updates
With a simple clic, Natalog will keep you informed, automatically or when you ask for it (according to the choise you made in the "Settings"), of updates for the species lists, the help files or the software itself.
Hover to pause text
Navigate more easily
The new design of the navigation interface makes it easier to know where you are among the different screens of the different functions of Natalog.
Hover to pause text
Consult your observations
after the end of the evaluation period
You can continue to consult your
observations after the end of the evaluation period. You will find again the functions for creating,
modifying, exporting and printing when you subscribe your license.

Natalog, the first friendly system for naturalist data integration
Note, manage, transmit and integrate
naturalist observations. Fast.
Here is at last a friendly software that allows birdwatchers
to easily note, manage and transmit their sightings.
And that avoids manual capture to societies or scientific institutions, while making observations compatible with the the databases they already use.
Natalog represents a really new concept for naturalist
data management.

Note
easily
For the beginning or expert
birdwatcher
Natalog : click and note!
The birdwatcher uses a simple and friendly software to note his observations.
He keeps them on his computer. He can file, retrieve, consult them at
anytime. He can print, export and transmit them by email as many times
as he wants in various formats.
Natalog allows you to note quantities, behaviours,
and free comments. Your spots, your logs and your observations can be
easily geotagd. It is then very simple to indicate where you have made
an observation.
Tap and note!
With the Natalog Notes module shipped with Natalog
2, you only need to tap your screen of your iPhone® to note your observations directly on the field. Then, when you have synchronised Natalog Notes and Natalog 2, you will treat your field log as any other Natalog 2 log.
Evaluate Natalog free
The evaluation version is fully functional during one month or until you have noted 300 observations (then, you keep access to your data, but some functions are not activated).

Observe usefully
For the birding society
or the scientific institution
Discover the possibilities
of the new "xls-STD" format
Natalog 2 proposes
a new format for log export called "xls-STD". Data is presented in a table,
each line stands for an observation, all essential information concerning
each observation is repeated on each line of the table.
Spreadsheets users will take from the exported log all the profit provided by the numerous functions of such software (Microsoft Excel®, for example). It becomes very easy to adapt data created with Natalog to the needs of big databases, which generally import spreadsheet files. You can change order of data, concatenate fields... You can even create charts!
To understand the "xls-STD" format
Natalog proposes a sample file in which a log
in the "xls-STD" format has been pasted into a Microsoft Excel®
table. With simple calculations, data is transferred on a second sheet
to match a "typical" birding society real input mask. Without being an
expert, these calculations can be copied and modified to give other results.
